Three maoists arrested in Gaya

Gaya, Jan 17 (UNI) Three activists of the banned CPI (Maoist) were today arrested at Sondiha village under Mohanpur police station in this district.

District Police Superintendent A K Jain said acting on a tip off, a police team raided a hut leading to arrest of the three maoists.

One of activists Chandu Kahar alias Sanyasi was the main accused in the Jehanabad jail break incident on November 13, 2005, he added.

Mr Jain said another maoist Prabhu Yadav was wanted in connection with an attack on a police team at Matgarha village under Mohanpur police station in Gaya district.

''Rajkumar Manjhi, who was also nabbed today, is facing charges of providing shelter and financial assistance to the proscribed CPI(Maoist), '' he added.
