Tara Devi's memorial to be raised at Agroha

Hisar, Jan 17 (UNI) The body of Tara Devi,76, mother of Subhash Chandra, chairman , Zee Network, was brought here today from Mumbai.

A memorial will be built at Agroha where the last rites of Tara Devi, wife of noted social worker of Haryana Nand Kishore Goenka, will be performed, family sources told UNI.

Educational institutions in the town were closed for the day after condolence meetings. People in large numbers paid homage and tributes to the departed soul.

Various poliical leaders including Mr Bhajan Lal, Kuldip Bishnoi, Ram Bhaj, Bajrang Dass Garg met members of the bereaved family and expressed their condolences.

Tara Devi died yesterday.

She is survived by husband, four sons - Subhash Chandra, Luxmi Goyal, Jawahar Goyal and Ashok Goyal- and three daughters.

The wreaths were laid on her body on behalf of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Dharamvir Singh.
