SP slams PM for talk offer to ULFA
Lucknow, Jan 17 (UNI) The ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh today criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for offering to hold talks with ULFA in Asom.
Talking to reporters here, senior SP leader and state transport minister Naresh Agarwal said ULFA should be dealt with severely.
''There should be no offer of talks...Tomorrow, the PM may invite Lashkar-e-Toiba or Al Qaeda for talks,'' he quipped.
He said the reported racial barbs on Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty in a reality show in the UK proved the government at the Centre has failed to link India with the rest of the world.
''The policy of toeing policies of the US and the UK is now showing results,'' Mr Agarwal added.
