Serial blasts rock Asom, one killed
Guwahati, Jan 17 (UNI) Serial blasts rocked Assam today, killing one and injuring at least 19 as the ULFA took on the Army operation by the horn.
At least fours blasts had been reported so far.
The last came from Ganeshguri Chariali, the most bombed place of the country.
The bomb was placed in a vegetable market which killed one.
The injured were shifted to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital and Dispur Polyclinic, where one succumbed to injuries, while three others were battling for life.
Chief Minster Tarun Gogoi, who reached from Upper Assam today, reviewed the situation.
The other bombs exploded at Badarpur in Barak valley and Goalpara in lower Assam.
The ULFA made a mockery of the Army Operation and exploded the bombs in areas, not known for ULFA activities.
In fact the bombs exploded barely 24 hours after the Prime Minister visited the state.
