Select metal prices hike on better buying support

Mumbai, Jan 17 (UNI) Select metal prices hiked on better buying support, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today.

In the ferrous category, Aluminium utencil was went up by Rs 100 per quintal on reduced stock supply.

In the non-ferrous segment, Copper wire bar increased by Rs 200 per quintal on higer advice while Aluminim Ingot slashed by Rs 100 per quintal on improved offers by stockists.

Nickel Cathode shot up by Rs 15 per kg on increase of fresh demand.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 31,000, Copper utensils - Rs 29,500, Brass utensils - Rs 22,800, Brass cuttings - Rs 25,000 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,400.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 34,200, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,200, Zinc slab - Rs 21,100, Lead ingots - Rs 7,500, Tin slab - Rs 595 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,765 (per kg).
