Rupesh scores double, Pankaj registers second win

Bangalore, Jan 17 (UNI) Rupesh Shah of Gujarat scored a two wins, even as Doha Asian Games gold winner Pankaj, maintaining his tempo, registered his second successive win in the Billiards group league of Senior National Billiards and Snooker Championship played in KSBA hall here today.

Dronacharya awardee Arvind Savur, former World Billiards Champion Geet Sethi won their respective matches, their second in a row with east.

Shah, who had defeated I V Rajiv of Tamil Nadu 800-124 in the morning, thrashed Anish Parekh of Jharkhand 878-84 in the afternoon.

For the 21-year-old Advani, Siddharth Parikh of Railways was no match as he took early lead to finish the game at 482-127.

In a keenly contested battle, Arvind Savur, was made to sweat by Praveen Kumar of Tamil Nadu at 393-368.
