Rupee opens low at 44.28/30 against per USD

Mumbai, Jan 17: The Rupee today opened low at 44.28/30 against per US dollar compared to 44.26/28 on the previous day's close on some selling pressure of dollar by foreing banks, dealers said.

The Rupee found the upside capped after a solid rally in two days but the firm undertone was sustained, propping up the Rupee by a paisa.

After a weak opening, the Rupee traded around 44.28 amidst regular demand and supply conditions. A late spike in the Rupee to 44.24 coincided with the Euro's spurt close to 1.30 against the Dollar in European trade, dealers added.
