Rudra Security launches Rudra Anti-Virus Software to PC

Mumbai, Jan 17 (UNI) Chennai-Based Rudra Security Technologies Pvt Ltd has launched 'Rudra Anti-Virus Software' to provide PCs permanent and holistic protection from ,both known and unknown, viruses, worms, spyware and malicious software.

Mr N S Baskar MD,Rudra Security Technology, in a statement here, said the current anti-virus technologies are not effective in addressing unknown viruses. While Rudra is built more on philosophy behind the human system. Since, Rudra does not depend on the legacy technologies;it is much more effective against viruses and malware.

The two existing anti-virus technologies are Signature-based and Heuristic. This technology was based on the understanding of the behavior or modus operandi of the viruses. However, this technology is also ineffective in challenging new viruses. Rudra currently works on Windows XP SP2 Client systems. The roadmap for Rudra includes handhelds and versions for servers, Macintosh,Linux operating system. Rudra is priced at USD 40.The company is in talks with leading player in the PC and technology space to market in India,he added.
