Revenue office in Puducerry burgled

Puducherry, Jan 17 (UNI) Miscreants gained entry into the revenue office on the Goubert Avenue and decamped with several properties.

According to police, the office was closed for the last four day on account of Pongal holidays. The theft was noticed when Tahsildar Yaswanthiah, came to the office today.

The intruders entered the office through a broken window at the rear portion of the building and took away two typewriters, two ceiling fans, one table fan and 45 kg of sugar.

On a complaint from Tahsildar, Grand Bazaar police registered a case.
