Rehab package for Asom victims back in Bihar
Patna, Jan 17: The Bihar government has announced a composite rehabilitation package in view the plight of the labourers fleeing Asom in the wake of ULFA's violence against the Hindi-speaking people.
The package which had been prepared by the state rural development department, would provide job and residence to the victims.
Rural Development Minister Baidyanath Prasad Mahto said Rs one crore had been sanctioned to each and every district and the rural development authority had been directed to arrange adequate fund under employment gurantee scheme in 15 districts.
He said for one of the eligible member of the affected families would be given job under employment gurantee scheme and be provided loan under self employment scheme.
