Race for premiership in BJP: Shinde
Indore, Jan 17 (UNI) While waxing eloquent about Congress President Sonia Gandhi being ''an example of sacrifice,'' Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today alleged that ''a race for prime ministership'' was underway among Bharatiya Janata Party leaders.
''While Mr L K Advani says that he will become the premier, Mr Murli Manohar Joshi also says he is a claimant,'' he said at a meeting of farmers and dalits in this district's Sanwer.
The minister claimed that by speaking on behalf of peasants' land not being seized for setting up special economic zones, Ms Gandhi silenced those leaders who alleged that she possessed no knowledge of the country's ground realities.
