President Kalam leaves for Delhi
Pune, Jan 17 (UNI) President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, who was on a two-day visit to the city, left for Delhi by a special aircraft at 1730 hrs today.
During his visit, Dr Kalam attended a series of programmes including the concluding ceremony of the 12th National Youth Festival yesterday.
The President attended the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of National Insurance Academy (NIA) here this morning. He also paid visit to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, where he met cancer patients.
Later, Dr Kalam visited the residence of music maestro Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and enquired about the latter's health.
The President had an interaction with the students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and addressed officials of the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
He also paid visit to the Tata Reserach Development and Design Centre before leaving for Delhi.
