Pension to be enhanced of ex-legislators
Jammu, Jan 17 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government today informed state legislative council that the enhancement of pension in favour of ex-legislators is under active consideration of the government.
Replying a question minister of state for law and parliamentary affairs Prem Sagar Aziz said there is no proposal to grant medical allowance in their favour. He said no proposal for payment of yearly travelling allowance to them is under consideration.
The minister said government had appointed 146 standing counsel for different departments and corporations in Jammu and Srinagar including 9 standing counsels for district Anantnag to defend the state cases before the subordinate courts for a period of one year.
