New militant outfit formed in Manipur
Imphal, Jan 17 (UNI) Komrem People's Army (KRPA) was formed to unite the Komrem tribes settled in Manipur and other North Eastern states.
A leader of the new outfit told mediapersons that the organisation started taking shape 2004 onwards and now it was firmly established.
The KRPA would work for ''territorial and emotional'' integrity of the people of the state.
Meanwhile, troops of Assam Rifles and police nabbed four underground cadres of three different organisations in three separate incidents during the past 24 hours.
Police said a United National Liberation Front (UNLF) cadre was nabbed. Later yesterday two People's United Liberation Front cadres were held and arms and ammunition recovered from them.
Troops of 32 Assam Rifles and Police personnel nabbed a cadre of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP ) at the Manipur Myanmar border area.
