NDFB activist involved in November 20 train blast arrested
Siliguri, Jan 17 (UNI) A National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) ultra, who was recently arrested from Guwahati for his involvement in the November 20 Belakoba train blast in which seven people were killed, was today handed over to the Jalpaiguri police.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) K L Meena told newsmen here that the arrest was made following a joint raid by the Bengal police and its Asom counterpart.
One computer, cell phone and blueprints of the blast were seized from the arrested, who was a top level member of the outfit, he said.
On the basis of the clues provided by another arrested NDFB activist Rahul Roy in December, both Asom and West Bengal police swung into action and made the breakthrough, he added.
State Home Secretary Prasad Ranjan Ray also confirmed the arrest.
