NCP will contest ZP elections on own: Jayant Patil

Kolhapur, Jan 17 (UNI) Maharashtra Finance Minister and NCP leader Jayantrao Patil today claimed the NCP will capture power in majority of the zilla parishads across the state in the forthcoming elections.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Patil said the party will contest the zilla parishad elections on its own.

The NCP will join hands with secular forces in the zilla parishads where it may fail to get a majority, Mr Patil said. There is no question of allying with communal forces, he said in reply to a query.
