Naga organisations pitch for consensus candidates in Manipur polls

Imphal, Jan 17 (UNI) The United Naga Council and other organisations were trying to build consensus on selection of candidates for the ninth Manipur Assembly elections, especially at Naga dominated areas.

About sixty Naga candidates have agreed to abide by the decisions of the Naga organisations related to election purposes, party sources said.

The candidates were also asked to work for a peaceful resolution.
