Kite festival near Mangalore from Jan 19
Mangalore, Jan 17 (UNI) As part of the ongoing 45-day annual 'Karavali Utsav', a three-day kite festival has been organised by 'Team Mangalore' at Panambur beach, near here, from January 19 to 21.
Giving details about the kite festival, Mr Giridhar Kamat of Team Mangalore told newspersons here today that a range of kites, including ones on the traditional folk art form Yakshagana, 'Bhootha Kola' (demon dance), Kathakali and Durga would attract viewers.
Eminent kite experts such as Karl Longbottom, Bob Krushunk of England, Maartin Van and Frits Groen Heart of Holland and Peter Staufeer of Australia have been invited to take part in the fest.
