HC proposes to facilitate e-filing of complaints
Hyderabad, Jan 17 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh High Court proposed to facilitate electronic filing of complaints through e-mails, Chief Justice G S Singhvi said today.
Taking part in the All India Law Ministers and Law Secretaries Conference here today the Chief Justice said the medium of internet would be encouraged for filing of cases, bail applications and serving of notices.
In an effort to ensure speedy disposal of cases, the court had embarked on computerisation of all works relating to courts including document management, office automation, internet access and electronic case filing, he added.
He advocated popularisation of video conferencing for case hearing in court dispensing with physical production of accused in courts from jails and police stations, saving enormous amount of expenditure and movement of police personnel and undertrials and avoiding unpleasant incidents during transit.
On account of computerisation, we can instantaneously obtain certified copies of depositions and judgements, he said, adding all information including cause lists, court numbers, name of lawyers, date of hearing would be made available on the internet.
