Floral tributes paid to MGR on his 90th birth anniversay

Tiruchirapalli, Jan 17 (UNI) Floral tributes were paid to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Founder of AIADMK M G Ramachandran, popularly known as 'MGR' on his 90th birth anniversary today.

Led by AIADMK urban district secretary K C Paramasivam, a group of party workers garlanded the MGR statue at Cantonment area and paid their homage.

Volunteers of Marumalarchi DMK (MDMK), Desiya Murpokku Dravidar Kazhagam (DMDK) and others led by respective party functionaries also garlanded the statue of Bharat Ratna MGR.

In some areas, Fans of MGR distributed sweets to the public and installed decorated portraits of MGR on roadsides as a mark of respect to the veteran Dravidian leader.
