Jagjivan Parihar gang member arrested

Morena (MP), Jan 17: A member of the dreaded dacoit Jagjivan Parihar gang has been arrested in this district, police said today.

Superintendent of Police Hari Singh Yadav said Nathhi Singh Sikarwar, who carried a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head, was arrested while he had come to fetch food materials for the gang yesterday.

''On a tip-off, a police team led by Town Inspector K D Sonkia cordoned off the dacoit and arrested him,'' he said.

During interrogation, Nathhi revealed that the gang was camping at an old mansion on the bank of Chambal river at Varhana village.

The gang had spent the end of year in this mansion.

Earlier, Nathhi used to provide shelter to the gang but later became an active member. He was involved in the abduction of three villagers.
