Cong releases list of 98 candidates for Punjab

New Delhi, Jan 17(UNI) Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and his Deputy Rajendra Kaur Bhattal and PCC President Shamsher Singh Dullo figure in the first list of 98 Congress candidates for the Assembly elections in Punjab to be held on February 13.

The list was released by AICC after a meeting of the Central Election Committee of the Congress party, chaired by Party President Sonia Gandhi, here last night.

AICC sources told UNI here tonight that the lists of the remaining 19 candidates would be released before Friday.

The Congress, which is in power in the state, is going it alone in the elections.
