Guwahati, Jan 17 (UNI) A day after the Prime Minister's visit to the state, three blasts were reported from across Asom even as the Army continued its operation against the ULFA and killed two militants.

All the blasts took place in fresh areas where militancy related violence had not taken place so far. The first blast occurred near Goalpara and the other two at Badarpur in Barak valley.

Police suspect ULFA link in both the incidents. However, no one was injured in the blasts.

Meanwhile, curfew in Tinsukia sub-division has been relaxed further from January 18 to 26 from 0500 hours to 2300 hours as the Bihari labourers in the refugee camp returned to their villages today. The next revision would be made after the Republic Day celebrations, official sources said.

Curfew was clamped in Tinsukia on January 6 and had been relaxed during the day hours after the situation improved.

Army sources informed here that a blast occurred at an isolated spot near Garo Hills, adjoining Goalpara.

The sources said that the blast was triggered by the ULFA to make their presence felt in the wake of the intensified Army operations against it as well as to prove their strength in the Barak valley and Garo hills bordering areas also.
