Bank Note Press at Dewas to continue as public utility service
New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) Bank Note Press, Dewas in Madhya Pradesh has been declared as Public Utility Service for another six months from January 19, according to a notification issued by the Labour and Employment Ministry.
The ministry said this had been done in public interest.
Bank Note Press, Dewas was earlier declared a public utility service from July 19, 2006 for six months.
The employees in this industry, as a result, would, among other things, be required to give notice to their employer six weeks in advance for proceeding on strike so that conciliatory proceedings could be started.
During the conciliatory proceedings and seven days after their completion, the employees in this industry cannot go on strike.
