Alembic Q3 up

Chennai, Jan 17 (UNI) Alembic Limited today reported an eight per cent increase in revenue to Rs 191.33 crore for the third quarter ending December 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 177.11 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

The company's PAT grew five per cent to Rs 25.10 crore from Rs23.91 crore, a company release said.

Formulation exports grew 85 per cent to Rs 17.79 crore from Rs 9.64 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

Alembic Limited Chairman and Managing Director Chirayu Amin said "the company continues to maintain its market share in domestic formulation market while aggressively pursuing generic opportunities in regulated markets." UNI SNR GM 1755
