Advocate house burgled

Chennai, Jan 17 (UNI) Miscreants struck at a house of a Madras High Court Advocate and decamped with 22 sovereigns of gold jewellery and Rs 60,000 cash at suburban Selaiyur near Tambaram.

Police sources said the incident came to light this morning after the Advocate Arumugam, returned from Hyderabad.

He had left for Hyderabad along with his family members on January 13 to celebrate Pongal.

Arumugam, on his way to Chennai, was informed by the neighbours that his house was found broken. He had lodged a complaint with the Selaiyur Police after he arrived here this morning.
