Youth arrested for murder of 5-year-old boy

Surat, Jan 16 (UNI) In a swift action, police today arrested a person in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a five-year-old boy, residing in Sachin slums here, for a paltry sum of Rs 2,600.

Police said the accused, Aman Shah, who was close to the boy's family, was apprehended late this evening.

He was staying as a tenant in the house owned by Sushil, father of the murdered boy, Nitin Gupta.

The boy was kidnapped late last night to recover Rs 2,600 the family owed to Aman.

Aman had some dispute over money matters with Sushil and that was the reason for kidnapping and murder of the boy, police sources said.

Nitin's body was found from Slum Board Area in Sachin early today.
