Venkaiah Naidu to attend "Chintan Baitak"
Hyderabad, Jan 16 (UNI) Senior BJP leaders M Venkaiah Naidu, Prakash Javadekar, Bal Apte and Sanjay Joshi will attend a ''Chintan Baithak'' here on January 24 and 25 to be organised by Andhra Pradesh BJP, State unit Chief, President Bandaru Dattatraya said today.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Dattatraya said the ''Baithak'' would evolve a strategy to strengthen the party and discuss the performance of Central and state governments.
It would discuss plans to launch a struggle against the government's ''anti-people'' policies.
Organisational changes and recent political developments would also be discussed at the meeting.
Stating that the BJP would launch agitation programmes from January 18 to 20 in the state, he said the party would picket district collectorates to protest against the Congress' decision to constitute second State Reorganisation Commission.
He said the party would organise a three-day agitation from January 18 to 20 at all mandal headquarters to press for introduction of nine-hour uninterrupted power supply to farmers.
Demanding that the state government must announce an 'integrated water policy' and release a white paper on the details of surplus water immediately, Mr Dattatraya alleged that the government was adopting 'double standards' on Potireddypadu project.
