Jaipur, Jan 16 (UNI) The BJP's search for a chief for its Rajasthan unit seems unending with the state party leaders failing to form consensus on the name.

With the party vertically divided between one group supporting the Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, while the old guard are on a different wave length, the choice has been left to the central leadership.

Party's organisation secretary Sanjay Joshi and Rajasthan incharge Kalaraj Mishra made a last-ditch effort to arrive at a consensus yesterday. But, according to sources, the leaders could not agree on any name and the decision was left to party president Rajnath Singh.

''The meeting here yesterday was in continuation of the consultation process initiated in Delhi,'' Mr Mishra told mediapersons, adding that the central leadership of the party had earlier held a meeting at New Delhi of the ten senior leaders from the state on January 8 to decide on the leadership issue.

However, he said that ''a new state party chief will be announced shortly by the party president Rajnath Singh.

''The consultation is over and the party president would name the state party chief,'' he said.
