Stray Rhino finds protection from political leader
Kohima, Jan 16 (UNI) A rhinoceros that strayed from Asom into the Baghty area under Wokha district of Nagaland was saved from falling prey to the poachers after the state Parliamentary Secretary Nkhao Lotha requested the locals to protect the endangered animal.
Mr Lotha, who was presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) recently, said the pachyderm, with a 12-inch long horn, had entered the area eight months ago should be protected.
He also directed the members of the DPDB to protect the rare pachyderm from the poachers.
