Soma Enterprise inks pact with NHAI

Hyderabad, Jan 16 (UNI) Soma Enterprise Ltd, one of India's leading infrastructure developers, today signed an agreement with National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for the Rs 744 crore Hyderabad-Bangalore Highway project in Andhra Pradesh .

Part of the North-South Corridor on NH-7 has been awarded to the joint venture of Soma Enterprise Ltd. and China Gezhouba Water&Power (Group) Co Ltd (CGGC) on Cash Contract Basis.

The project, which entails four-laning of the four stretches from 211 km, 251 km, 251 km-293.4 km, 376 km-418 km and 418 km-463.6 km on NH-7 in the state, will be completed over a period of 30 months.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ankineedu Manganti, Director Soma Enterprise Ltd, said," We are presently executing roads and highway projects worth over Rs 1400 crore across the country and are actively looking at expanding our presence in the sector. With the addition of these projects, our current order book in roads has crossed Rs 2500 crores''.

''The Hyderabad-Bangalore section of NH-7 directly links the two cities and once completed, the project will not only enhance the connectivity between these cities but also give impetus to trade and economic growth,'' he added.
