Seven ULFA cadres held in Mon district
Kohima, Jan 16 (UNI) In the stepped up vigil in Nagaland following the recent ULFA attacks in Asom, the Assam Rifles (AR) personnel apprehended seven ULFA cadres, including two women, in Tang area under Mon district yesterday, a defence release here today said.
The seven ULFA cadres were trying to sneak into Myanmar, sources said.
They were travelling in a jeep bearing Asom registration number, sources said.
Sources said AR personnel recovered SIM cards, transistors, knives, radio sets, dicta phones and mobile sets and seized the jeep.
This is a major catch of ULFA in Nagaland since the security forces launched operation against them in Asom.
