SC declines interim order for 37 breakaway BSP MLAs
New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) The Supreme Court today declilned to pass an interim order for the 37 breakaway BSP MLAs for the forthcoming session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly called on January 18.
Though the MLAs have been permitted to act as a separate independent group under the banner of Bahujan Loktantrik Dal (BLD), they wanted clarification from the court about their political status during the session.
They also sought to know whether they will be permitted to caste their votes as Chief Minister Mulayam Singh has to prove his majority on the floor of the House.
