RJD, Congress announce their candidates list

Imphal, Jan 16 (UNI) The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) today announced the names of its all 17 candidates for the ensuing ninth Assembly elections scheduled to be held here in February.

The first phase of the polls would be held on February eight.

The names of candidates announced by RJD included party president and former Chief Minister W Nipamacha Singh who would be contesting from Wangoi Assembly constituency.

Party president of the state unit of Congress and former Minister R V Mingthing would contest from Chingai constituency.

Sources from both the parties said the next list would be announced soon.
