RJD, Congress announce their candidate list

Imphal, Jan 16 (UNI) The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) today announced the names of all its 17 candidates for the ensuing ninth Assembly elections scheduled to be held on February here.

The first phase of the polls would be held on February eight.

Other parties including the Congress and BJP had already announced the names of their candidates.

The names of candidates announced by RJD includes party president and former chief minister W Nipamacha Singh who would be contesting from Wangoi Assembly constituency.

The party president of the state unit of Congress and former minister R V Mingthing would contest from Chingai.

Sources from both the parties said the next list would be announced soon.
