Rains likely in NE states, Tamil Nadu

Pune, Jan 16 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and south Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujrat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, north Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar and Lakshadweep.

Cold Wave conditions prevailed in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and at isolated places in Bihar and Jammu and Kashmir.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Haryana and below normal in some parts of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, east Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, south Madhya Maharashtra, south interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of Assam, Meghalaya and east Uttar Pradesh. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of west Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Marathwada, Vidarbha, south Chhattisgarh and were above normal in some parts of Orissa, north Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.
