Pragatisheel Jan Morcha formed for MCD polls

New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) The Delhi units of the Jan Morcha, NCP, CPI and the CPM have formed an electoral alliance-- the Pragatisheel Jan Morcha-- to provide an alternative to the Congress and the BJP in the forthcoming MCD polls.

Delhi MLA Ramvir Singh Bidhur will be the convenor of the Pragatisheel Jan Morcha.

In a statement, the Morcha said the people of Delhi have been victims of the ''misrule and antipeople'' policies of the Congress and BJP through their successive control over the MCD and the state governments.

''The tall promises repeatedly made by these parties to the people at the time of elections have been thoroughly betrayed by them and the situation has worsened instead of improving,''it said.
