Pak launches air strike on militant camp in Waziristan

Islamabad, Jan 16: The Pakistan army launched a strike on amilitant camp in a tribal area bordering Afghanistan, killing most ofthe 25-30 militants present, military spokesman Major-General ShaukatSultan said today.

''The operation was carried out at around 0655 hrs (0725 IST) inZamzola in South Waziristan, based on information that 25 to 30miscreants, including foreigners were present there,'' Sultan said.

''I can't tell you the exact number of casualties, but most ofthem were killed,'' he added. Sultan said helicopters were used in theattack.
