NetApp Appoints Vikram Shah as VP and GM

Bangalore, Jan 16: Network Appliance today announced the appointment of Vikram Shah as Vice President and General Manager for NetApp Bangalore.

Mr Shah will play a key role in driving NetApp technology innovation, product development, and customer support at the only major NetApp technology facility outside of the United States, the company said in a release here.

Announcing the appointment NetAPP Executive Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Storage said ''Over the years since its inception, NetApp Bangalore has been a vital engineering and support facility for us, serving customers throughout the world. I am confident Vikram's leadership will take our product innovation to the next level, as we continue to bring out solutions that help our customers manage enterprise-wide data more effectively''.

NetApp Bangalore's engineering operations were established in May 2003. The facility also housed one of the company's four global customer support centres. In addition, it housed other global operations such as partner and product engineering, product management, partner certification, and global IT infrastructure support.
