Naxalism not law and order problem: Raghu Thakur

Sagar, MP, Jan 16 (UNI) Asserting that naxalism was not just a law and order problem, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party President Raghu Thakur today said naxalism must be viewed in the context of administrative machinery and unemployment.

Mr Thakur told reporters here that unearthing of an illicit weapons factory in the state capital was cause of concern for law and order. A serious incident could have occurred had the Intelligence Bureau not informed about it to the state government.

He said 'Manthan 2007' was nothing but a mere propaganda for the state government. Various 'panchayats' had also remained confined to news.

Demanding that Banda area in this district be announced drought-affected, he urged to send a team of officials here.
