Naxal blast kills 7 personnel

Jagdalpur, Jan 16 (UNI) Seven security personnel were killed today after naxals triggered a landmine at Jhargaon near Narayanpur in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district.

Inspector-General (Bastar Range) R K Vij told UNI that two Central Reserve Police Force personnel, three from the district police and two from the Chhattisgarh Special Armed Force comprised the casualties.

The incident occurred when the team, stationed at Farasgaon Camp, were on patrol. Mr Vij said that additional security personnel were rushed to the spot and further details were awaited.
