MSD scam accused denied bail

Patna, Jan 16 (UNI) Special CBI judge of Patna Radheshyam Prasad today rejected the regular bail petition of an accused in a case of multi-crore rupee MSD scam of Bihar.

The case was related to irregularities committed in purchase of medicines worth Rs 2.93 crore in Rohtas district from Government Medical Store Depot(GMSD) of Kolkata during 1992-93.

The CBI had submitted chargesheet in the case against several people, including the then Chief Medical Officer(CMO) of Rohtas Dr Ramawatar Prasad and accused Rajkishore Prasad.

The accused, Rajkishore, was posted as head clerk in the CMO office Rohtas during the said period.
