MP BJP executive constituted

Bhopal, Jan 16 (UNI) The executive committee of the Madhya Pradesh BJP has been formally constitued with Mr Makhan Singh being appointed as General Secretary (Organisation) in place of Mr Kaptan Singh Solanki.

The fresh assignment of Mr Solanki, an RSS representative in the state BJP, is yet to be announced.

Announcing the state executive at a press conference here today, state BJP President and Public Relations Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said regional balance had been kept in mind and representation to all sections given while constituting the new body.

The coordination committee, core group and Mahila Morcha would be constituted by this month end or in February after detailed consultations within the executive committee.

Mr Anil Dave, general secretary, has been promoted as vice-president, while Ms Maya Singh, Mr Gauri Shankar Bisen, Mr Chandramani Tripathi, Mr Vijendra Singh and Mr Ramakrishna Kusmaria were also appointed vice-presidents.

Mr Arvind Menon has been appointed joint organising secretary, while Mr Nandkumar, Mr Faggan Singh Kulaste and Mr Bhupendra Singh Dangi were appointed as general secretaries.

A tribal, Mr Kulaste, a former Union Minister, was embroiled in the cash-for-query scam leading to his expulsion from the Lok Sabha.

Mr Ajay Pratap Singh, Mr Achal Sonkar, Mr Arvind Bhadoria, Mr Babu Singh Raghuvanshi, Mr Rajendra Pandey and Mr Rameshwar Sharma were appointed secretaries.

In the frontal organisations, Mr Vishwas Sarang will head the Yuva Morcha, while Mr Ved Prakash Sharma will head the Kisan Morcha.

Mr Lal Singh Arya will head the Scheduled Caste Morcha, while the Scheduled Tribe Morcha will be headed by Mr Ramlal Rautel. Mr Kamalbhai Lalbhai has been appointed president of the Minorities Cell.

Mr Tomar was appointed as the state BJP chief about three months ago in place of former Union Minister Satyanarain Jatia.
