Mercury drops in Manipur

Imphal, Jan 16 (UNI) The people of Manipur experienced a spine chilling cold today as the mercury dipped to 3.7 degrees.

The bitting cold forced the people to stay indoors. Bonfires were a common sight every night in the city.

The MET officials said the humidity was around 70 per cent in the morning which decreased as the day progressed.

The maximum temperature was around 23 degree Celcius. No rainfall was recorded today, sources added.
