Liars Inc to enter UP poll
Satna, MP, Jan 16 (UNI) Call it sheer gimmickry or a quixotic initiative for cleansing Indian politics, the Jhoot-based Party -- which ''believes in lying'' -- is on the verge of organising a convention in Lucknow, ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, where it will consider supporting the party that tells the most lies.
The outfit, formed here by freelance journalist Daduram Salone 'Chaukanna', actively ''supported'' top political parties during two recent bypolls in this state.
''Falsehood has considerable practical benefit and that is why it figures prominently on election manifestoes. The Jhoot-based Party has more than 2,000 members,'' Salone, who is like a regional version of comedian Jaspal Bhatti, said in a statement.
