INLD raps Hooda govt
Chandigarh, Jan 16 (UNI) Continuing its statewide agitation against the Hooda government in Haryan, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) today alleged that the government had betrayed the people of the state by not fulfilling any of the election promises made by the Congress.
''The people of Haryana are in a mood to teach a befitting lesson to the government,'' said INLD Secretary General Ajay Singh Chautala while addressing a protest rally at Panchkula today.
Mr Chautala accused the government of playing into the hands of land mafia. ''Master plans have been changed in all major cities of National Capital Region (NCR) to favour certain big builders. The government people are minting money at the cost of poor farmers. The land of districts adjoining Chandigarh and New Delhi is being handed over to the big companies and peasantry is being exploited,'' he added.
The Haryana government, he claimed, had failed on all fronts and the people were suffering for lack of water and electricity. The electricity of Haryana was being given to Delhi to appease the Congress high command, he alleged.
Protest rallies were also held in Gurgaon and Panipat.
INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala and former state INLD President Sher Singh Badshami led the demonstration at Gurgaon while state INLD president Ashok Arora and Former Minister Prof. Sampat Singh led the march at Panipat.
