i-flex to open development centre in Chile
Bangalore, Jan 16 (UNI) i-flex, a leading global service provider, today forged ties with the Chile Government to set up its Development Centre in that country.
Speaking to newspersons after inking the pact in the presence of Chile Trade and Industry Minister Alejandro Ferreiro and Chilean Ambassador to India and Sri Lanka Jorge Heine, company Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Hukku said the company had made a presence in Chile and a development centre would be set up there soon. ''Over the next five years, more expansion would be made in Chile and the centre would be utilised for providing training to manpower meant for Latin America and the US offices.'' Mr Ferreiro, leading a business delegation, said ''we are well equipped to provide a platform for Indian IT industries and Chile can act as a hub.'' He said his mission was to woo as many Indian IT industries as possible for establishing their offices in his country and the week-long visit to India would be utilised to invite IT majors like Infosys and Wipro. ''We are ready to remove all obstacles for Indian IT companies.'' Mr Heine said trade between Chile and India had trebled in 2006 and stood at 1.7 billion Dollars.
