HPCL-GAIL to launch CNG outlets in Rajasthan this year
Jaipur, Jan 16 (UNI) Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) in collaboration with GAIL will launch CNG outlets in Rajasthan this year, its President and Managing Director M B Lal has said ''HPCL in collaboration with GAIL would launch the CNG service in Kota from this year,'' Mr Lal said here at the inauguration of the first 'HP Junction Retail Outlet' in the state at Dudu.
Mr Lal said the pipelines for the third HPCL refinery coming up in Bhatinda in Punjab has been completed and one of the the pipelines passing close to Jaipur would be commissioned by June this year.
He said with the commissioning of this pipepine HPCL would be able to provide better service in the state. HPCL is in the forefront of the search for alternative fuel like bio deisel prodcution by joining the cultivation of Jatropha in 20,000 hectres of land in Banswara and Udaipur in the state, he added.
The company Executive Director S P Chaudhary said HPCL plans to set up 140 HP retail outlets in the country in the next two years.
He said 20 outlets have already started functioning adding that in such outlets apart from dispensing oil products, the drivers have facilities for refreshment, rest, parking space, vehicle reparing, and shopping for essentinal items during travel, laundry, bath rooms and entertainment.
