Gandhi Samman for Divya Prem Seva Mission
Bhopal, Jan 16 (UNI) The Haridwar-based Divya Prem Seva Mission, which works for lepers and their chidren, has been selected for the Madhya Pradesh Culture Department's Rashtriya Mahatma Gandhi Samman 2006-07, official sources said today.
The award carries Rs 5 lakh and a citation.
Culture Minister Lakshmikant Sharma also announced the Rashtriya Iqbal Samman for poet-critic Sheenkaf Nizam who would receive Rs 1 lakh and a citation. He has six collections to his credit.
The Maithili Sharan Gupt Samman would be conferred on Hindi litterateur Manu Sharma whose novels include 'Rana Sanga'. This award also carries Rs 1 lakh and a citation.
