Centre's nod for 10 hydel power projects

Patna, Jan 16 (UNI) The Centre has given its nod for preparing Detailed Project Report (DPR) to Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation (BHPC) on 10 hydel power projects in Kosi division.

BHPC Director U K Thakur today said Union Ministry of Non Conventional Energy had decided to give subsidy for preparing the DPR of these projects in Kosi.

The BHPC had conducted survey at 18 projects in Kosi region of which 10 were cleared by the Centre while remaining projects would be taken up for consideration in the next phase, he added.

Mr Thakur said BHPC had also taken initiatives for generating hydel power at Daagmara for Rs 50 crore.
